  • Volkl Alley Twin Tip Skis 2011
  • For the young skier who wants a rock-solid ride that can help him conquer the park as well as ski all over the mountain, here are the Volkl Alley Skis.
With a shape of 111-81-104, the Volkl Alley features Volkl's Sensorwood core and Tough Box construction, its sure to make an impact among skiers looking for an affordable all mountain twin tip. Core and Flex Pattern: Multi-layer wood core with two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates secure screw retention and stability, while the softer poplar section allows for resilience and snap. Construction: Tough Box Construction features a multi-layered wood core wrapped with a composite/fiberglass sheath to create the ultimate resilience and snap for Volkl's freeskiing models. Surrounding the core in the mid-body of the ski, it adds snap, strength and binding screw retention. Shape: The symmetrical sidecut allows the park and pipe rider the best possible performance by allowing a center-mounted ski to perform the same while riding switch and forward. It also allows completely even balance for rail slides. Binding Compatibility: Requires brake width of 85mm to 95mm
