With an 85mm waist, the Darwin starts with a very stable and predictable platform for athletic beginners up through intermediate skiers with a full wood core and full sidewall construction, the Darwin transforms into a poppy light ski with ferocious edge hold. The combined result is a ski that is happy skidding and sliding but as skills progress, it will rip turns and feel very sturdy and predictable on edge. To further amplify the edge hold the Darwin is traditionally cambered, so no matter how hard the snow pack gets, it will always have edge hold. The Darwin even gets a little flare with a full twin tip profile allowing it to be very playful and comfortable in the terrain park for the more gutsy guy out there.
